Please do not neglect Philadelphia's extremely important dance history. This city produced the nation's first male ballet dancer, the first internationally famous American ballerina, the first American ballet company to tour Europe and...I could go on. Most Philadelphia reference works do a good job of tracing music in Philadelphia but a poor job with dance. It's a shame because we have a lot to be proud of.

The Mummer's Parade certainly deserves attention. It is not, am aware, publicized as heavily as some others beyond Philadelphia. Possibly due to TV as medium of communication. One of the top TV programs feautring Philadelphia is current, the series Cold Case.

The Rocky series of movies have featured Philadelphia as area of film interest and storiy.

Art and culture are not just public expressions but also, private and business purposes. These need be included, how they contribute to the greater Philadelphia area as well.
Thank you,
Wyatt Reader
