In 1924, Atwater Kent began producing assembled radio receivers inside furniture-quality cabinets (including one model ensconced in a grandfather clock). The man in this photograph, taken in the late 1920s, is standing next to an Atwater Kent Model 60 radio, which was available in a variety of stylish wood cabinets and in a table-top version.
